VG10 Stainless Steel is a designation used for a very particular type of high quality Japanese stainless steel. The G stands for “gold”, which refers to the “gold standard” that this level of cryogenically tempered stainless steel has met. VG10 provides a superior edge retention and it is a good choice for blades that require heavier cutting applications.

The knife comes with the high-quality leather sheath in the photos.

Use a Diamond Wet Stone to re-sharpen the blade. After using the knife, wash it with soap and water, dry completely, coat with olive oil, and store away from the sheath. Leather pulls moisture out of the air and can rust the blade if stored improperly for long duration of time in the sheath.
